Elkhart Community Schools obtained a grant that provides funds for a limited number of iPad devices with built-in LTE internet service. An LTE iPad allows students to access the internet without connecting to a WiFi network as the LTE iPad uses a cellular (mobile) network instead of a WiFi connection.
Currently, the LTE iPad application is open to ALL students who don't have access to WiFi at home. When supplies become low, it will be limited to students who qualify for free/reduced lunches. LTE iPads will not be dispersed over summer break unless a student is enrolled and attending summer school.
To apply for an LTE iPad, please complete the following form: LTE Cellular iPad Application. Please only submit one application per family/household. Be sure to complete this form in its entirety to determine if your student(s) is eligible for a LTE iPad. LTE iPads are very limited in quantity. You may be responsible for the full replacement cost for lost, stolen, or broken LTE iPads.
