Each school has been given 8 laptops that are designated for substitute teacher use. These laptops are labeled on the bottom with the designated school as seen below:
The only account that can sign into these laptops is "sub". The password for this account is also "sub".
These laptops may become disconnected from our WiFi network from sitting unused for a period of time. Restarting the laptop will connect you back to the network and fix the issue. If you are unable to sign in, have trouble loading websites, or are just having random issues then try restarting it.
After you are signed in with the sub account you can select the Chrome icon from the taskbar, which will bring up the substitute PowerSchool Page.
Connecting to a Dock
If a room has a dock and a projector then you will need to connect your laptop to the dock in order to use the projector. Start by locating the connector seen below which is attached to the cable that connects to the laptop.
The substitute laptops require this USB connector with the opening to be slid all the way up to the end of the cable. It then slides over the top of the end of the cable like it the picture below:
You can now plug the smaller USB cable into the back of the larger USB cable. It should look like the picture below when finished.
This USB cable can now be plugged into any USB port on the laptop and will successfully connect your laptop to the docking station and projector.
